Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and the developers, Newlands, have noted the strength of feeling about future possible destruction of these trees. Now the developer’s original plans have been withdrawn and new plans which should protect the trees are thought to be in the pipeline.Sincere thanks to everyone who signed this powerful petition.
