Posters are going up in the area making it clear that many people object to the developer’s,  plan for a Lidl warehouse (22/00667/FUL).  There is little difference between the original outline application for an Amazon warehouse and the Lidl one, as can clearly be seen in the post below. Basingstoke’s Planning Committee REFUSED the original outline plan on landscape grounds.

116 letters of objection have already been sent to the Planning Department at Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.  But there’s still time for more letters as the developers have submitted changes to their original plans, so PLEASE urge your friends and neighbours to write. Remember that ALL adults living in a house in the Basingstoke area, can write.

There are 340 documents on the Planning Portal that are being scrutinized by the CAGE team and Dummer Parish Council. We’re working with local MPs, County Councillors, parish councils and community groups together with regional organisations.

We’re also seeking support from the Hampshire Wildlife Trust, Natural England, Council for the Protection of Rural England, and other similar groups.
